Nail Game:Hot Pink

So, recently i've been stepping up the intensity of my nail game, i left the acrylic overlays alone and moved to the gel nail overlay. I.love.them. by the way! I can get a color on my nails, and take off the polish and it look fabulous! I even sometimes just wear the clear gel nails by themselves.

Here is one of my favorite pinks, it's by Ruby Kisses. A BRIGHT-but not too bright-hot pink! Irish Bouquet is the name!

Walking through walgreens one day, and walked past the HIP section. What did I see? HIP paint on sale, for fellow makeup lovers like me! -wait, that so was NOT meant to rhyme! lol

Well I picked it up in the color "secretive"... swatched a pigment over it and well.... you can clearly see from the picture that it is a complete #fail !

Beauty Review:Sephora Super Shea Butter Pomade

Hey Dolls,

Beauty Review for the day is this Super Shea Butter Pomade from Sephora. I've had it for a while, but just recently happened to grab it to use it for my heels. Boy oh boy, was i reminded of how wonderfulicious it is! This stuff is super duper creamy and nourishing to dry skin! It's not as thick as the yellow shea butter that you get from the beauty supply stores and the african stores. But it does the same thing. It's a must have! i'm not exactly sure of the price but i'm sure it is under $15.00!

The cons to this product is only that the smell can sometimes be overbearing. Not so much where you have to open a window but you CAN smell it, which can mess up the smell of

your perfume.

Is it worth getting?! Yes Sir Eee!

Look at the creaminess! Lawd have mercy!

Mi Amor: Sinful Colors Canary Yellow

I love this color! Got it from Walgreens for $1.99. It's a GORGEOUS bright pretty somewhat golden yellow. I have yet to wear it on my fingers, just on my toes. BUT the next manicure (more than likely this thursday-3/26) I'm gonna take the leap for canary yellow on the nails! I usually wear pinks and purples on them so the yellow with a possible design should be exciting! I mean it is springtime after all. I just might have to cut them down a tad bit more! Every brown girl should wear it! And for the record my feet aren't ashy that's the lighting! lol

Ulta: Get It While It's Good!

So a couple of weeks ago I told you all of the new L'Oreal HIP Kohl Eyeliners.... well you can cop a a buy one get one free at ulta! They are doing BOGO (Free) on a lot of good products this week actually: Some of them are : the Ulta shadows. HIP cream crayons. Telescopic mascara. wear infinite eyeshadow quads. and a lot more handfuls of mascaras and other goodies!

I'm really eager to pick up that black cream crayon, because that stuff does not move at ALL! You'll be scrubbing for a minute to get them off but oh well..... That's what us MUA's, Aspiring MUA's, Beauty Lovers, and Beauty Bloggers all love! LONG-LASTING MAKEUP right? indeed!

Anywayz, I guess i should do a review on those and swatches.... hmmm what do you think?

Here is the FOTD that i wore when I went to look at the Dame Edna Collection. (I picked up gladiola by the way) I don't remember all the products but I do remember that I used

Chrome Yellow.... Enjoy!

As you can see the purple softened the brightness o the yellow... I cut the crease with Carbon ad the MAC MA's complimented me on it.

First ImpressionCoastal Scents Eye Proxy Primer

Hey Dolls

This is the Coastal Scents Eye Proxy Primer. This is the product straight out of the packaging

As you can see it is kind of thick. you have to rub and smooth it out VERY evenly so that the balls in the product distribute evenly!

It looks nasty

When I opened it, it seemed VERY greasy.

Creases on oily lids

Creases under darker colors (i used the black oxide pigment)

.|.The Pros.|.

It makes your shadow colors pop

A good price for the product

Gives your lighter shadows an airbrushed feel/look

.|. Final Word.|.

I say that it is a good primer for the price ($9.99) and it never hurts to have a backup primer either!

Like I mentioned, it does make your darker colors crease which defeats the whole purpose of a primer, but to each its own! I'll probably buy another batch of this stuff when I run out.

This is the look I did for my VERY first(so far-and only REAL) MU gig.

I did this look on the way there -yes in the car and I wasn't driving- for a hair show. I figured that I'd do my makeup up to be the bomb dot com. And indeed it was. I even one of THE most known MUA's in my town. Anywayz, these pictures are from later on that night (say 9:45 p.m.) hence the fading of some of the colors.

Coastal Scents Pigment Review

Hey dolls,

So for some strange reason I decided to go and log on to the coastal scents website about a 2 weeks ago and - ordered the limited edition brush set (kabuki, powder/blush, and the concealer) AND the pigment sample set.....

When I ordered mine it was $10.00 and you get 10 different color samples. Boy oh boy was - surprised when I received them in the mail! They came in zippy bags and the CS folks packed them full! - recommend that everybody order them and get into the CS pigments because they are THE business!

The ones that they sent me seem to be all matte but so far I've only tried out 4.

So i was browsing through my BORING myspace page, looked under my mini-feed thing and saw the baddest makeup photo that I have seen in a minute......

It is by the darling nikki, a MUA from Californ-i-a!

Her name as you can see from the caption on the picture is DARLINGNIKKIMUA so look her up and add her and tell her I sent ya cause her work is flawless!

This picture gave me chills!

So it said that she used Bitch Slap Cosmetics and I googled it and sweet heavenly father, did I see stuff that I want! I encourage EVERYBODY ad their baby mama's cousin's big sister's play brother's niece to www.bitchslap-cosmetics.com and grab a bunch of stuff! The prices are reasonable. Pigments are $9.00-as oppose to MAC's $20. The large/full eyeshadows are around the same price ($13.00) but I didn't see what the measurements were!

As for me and my makeup money, I'm really craving the following:

One Beat Bitch by Alex (pigment).Plum Large Eyeshadow. White Orchid Large Eyeshadow. Both sets of lashes.

*just from the picture, the plum looks QUITE similar to MUFE 092 & the white orchid looks similar to the matter lavender from MUFE also,but i'm just saying*

I need new hair update

So here is the hair update...without a picture.I ended up getting a sew in with a side swept/swoop bang. I picked up the urban beauty pack of hair in a #4 I think, and only one pack of it! THANKFULLY(!!!!!) the best friend had some extra milky way hair left! So she put that in there, now I have beyonceriffic hair and you know I love my beyonce! I am a sucker for their creme liners- as most of you fellow makeup addicts are, but this time they have made KOHL eyeliners. and I'm EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! if they are anything like the creme liners then i know i'll be hitting up a BOGO to grab em up! They come in 6 colors: Burgundy, Navy, Gold, Teal, Black & Brown.

HIP describes the new product as: "The first kohl technology this dramatic. The softest,smokiest look day or night. HIP High Intensity Pigments kohl eyeliner are positively blooming. Rich, smokey shades of loose,irredescent kohl that line and define. Dramatic but never" and it stops right there.

The Importance of a Good Brow

So on YouTube a fellow brown MU girl (ISAYWOMPALLTHETIME) held an eyebrow contest. nd recently i have just been OBSESSED with a perfect brow. I usually just fill them in with a Rimmel Brow Pencil and some concealer

but as you ca see it isn't all that great... its decent ya know but not BAD!

Well,in my makeup collection, I -honestly- have about 10 different mascaras! I love it! I TRY to wear a different one each day, BUT sometimes it is just SOOOO hard, expecially when you just become obsessed with just one! Lately, I have bee

n doing good about wearing a different oe almost everyday, but I just had to let you all know about one of my favorite ones.... the Maybelline Lash Discovery Mascara!

it really makes the base of the lashes look thicker!
the brush is soooo tiny! smaller than Too Faced Pinpoint Mascara

Pros:

It makes your lashes appear longer

Makes it look as though you have on falsies

Does not clump at all

Keeps lashes separated and clean looking

Tiny brush to catch ALL those lashes!

Cons:

Couldn't really find any other than the tube is so skinny that it is easy to misplace and lose it!

Well, it is finally November and do you lovelies know what that means???? ★CHRISTMAS★ is on THE way! In my family, when we celebrate Christmas, we celebrate! We are the ones you're talking about who has their lights,tree, wreaths, and music up and going from November to Februrary! We are quite the "Christmasers"! We also love gift giving in our family, and that has me thinking about what I not only am getting for the hub, the babe, and the fam, but what I want also!

So, I thought I'd make a post on here about it! Here are some of the things that I'd just L♥VE to get!

I have been craving a Blackberry Curve for the longest! Mostly because of all the things and features (facebook.twitter.etc...) and it is soooo fierce! so presidential! so beyonce!

Next up is THE epitome of a handbag, to me! This bag is purely a timeless piece, and it is like REALLY on my wish list! What is it?

I will even be fine with a knockoff at the moment, but ONE DAY, this bag will be on my shoulder with MY belonging inside!

Now onto the beauty, my top four things that I'm craving right now is the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, Sephora Bronzer Brush, MAC 187 Brush & MAC 109 Brush. Pure Joy!

The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is by far, THE Best thing out there for the dry gals! This stuff makes your face flawless, gives you that "makeup, what makeup" look, all while moisturizing that beautiful skin of yours! The ONLY reason I have not gotten it is because it is $42 and my sample from Sephora has done me wonders, but I am contemplating on getting it SOON!

The Sephora Brand Professional Platinum Bronzer Brush (#48), is one of THE baddest brushes out there for makeup lovers, users, artists, etc. It is basically a Kabuki, BUT the texture of the bristles give you the fiercest face EVER!!! I was in Sephora, grabbed this brush & the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation and my face was soooo ready for the television screen AND the catwalk! Put those two things together and you really have a flawless perfect face! It is $35.

The MAC 109 Face Brush, is actually made with contourring and buffing color in tight corners of the face and body, which is not really the main reason I want it. Erin (Scandalous Beauty) applied some of her foundation with this brush and when I say her face was beat.... best believe I'm telling the truth... Plus the brush is just TOOOO cute in real life! $32
The MAC 187/188 Stippling Brush. I have the Special Edition (Holiday '08) brush at home and I have fallen deeply in love with it. So far, I have used it only of highlighting my cheekbones and the way that it makes the glow look as though it is really coming from within is priceless! I have a coastal scents stippling brush (2 actually), which are dupes of the MAC 187 & 188 brush, but the actual brush is just phenomenal! 187:$42 188:$34
